What would Cub Scouting be without the annual PopCorn sales!
The annual Popcorn Sales benefits each Cub Scout, and the Troop, by:
The Pack retains 32% of all money raised. This helps fund the Pack, and pays for such things as extra activities (Pack camp outs, awards, Pinewood Derby etc).
Teaches each Cub Scout how to interact with adults, market and sell a product, and the value of money.
Individual sales can be used to offset the BSA annual dues (currently $145) and additionally, Cub Scouts can actually earn money through participation in the Popcorn Sale.
This is just an overview. Additional information was sent out in the most recent Pack level communication email, and will be further discussed during the Tue Sept 10th Pack Meeting.
