The 2018 Food Drive (aka Scouting for Food)

Each year, during the months November & December, Pack 333 takes part in a yearly, nationwide, Scouting program known as 'Scouting for Food'.

Every member of the Pack, both adults & youths, get the chance to give back and help out people less fortunate by collecting items, mainly food, from the local community to be donated to local area food banks.

Food collection takes place November though December, with our December pack meeting being used for sorting of all goods into various categories before being dropped off to the Worthington Resource Pantry later that evening.

This year, as an extra incentive, Pack 333 was challenged by Pack 365 to see which pack could collect the most (by weight) food. Members of the leadership team from the winning pack would get a pie in the face from the other Pack. (Un)fortunately for us, we were the recipients for the pie. (or our leaders lost..). There are no real winners or losers here: Each pack took part in a good community event, and more people in the area were able to benefit from the Food Pantry.

All in all, we collected 986 pounds of goods!

Below are some photos taken during the sorting dropoff event, and pie in the face..
