The Rain Gutter Regatta, like the Pinewood Derby, is another event associated with the yearly Cub Scout programming.
The boats come in kit form, Pack provided, and it's upto the individual Cub Scout to construct and decorate as they seem fit! (One weekend prior to the event, Pack 333 held a boat construction day. Cub Scouts got to use tools!). The Cubs have to blow, using straws, the boats down the gutters.
This years running of our Rain Gutter Regatta took place on the last pack meeting of the year.
Each Den ran their own heats, in a bracket method, with each Cub racing twice: once per lane.
All Den champions then raced each other in an 'Battle of the Dens'! Despite being younger than most, the Tigers came away as Victors!
A big huge thanks to Josh Greene for constructing the Rain Gutters!
Below are some images of the event. What a great way to end a fantastic year.
