We bought our own track!
Saturday Feb 22nd was the Annual Pack 333 Pinewood Derby Event, held at the Mirolo Pavilion.
Unlike last year, due to massive fundraising efforts from the PopCorn sale, Pack 333 raised enough money to buy their own Pinewood Derby Track!
While this was an expensive purchase, it will be used for many many years to come!
What follows are three sets of photos, taken over a two month period:
Unboxing and first time build: Because adults have to play too, you know:)
Test event & Construction Project day: As we needed a dress rehearsal for the main event, we decided to hold the January Pack meeting at the Mirolo Pavilion.The Bears & Webelos worked helped construct track storage crates & car carriers, which was for their 'Baloo The Builder' award! Go Bears. Other Dens then arrived later on for the main Pack meeting, and to hold a quick test event
The main Pinewood Derby event; 100+ people (Cubs & Parents) up to race, eat, and socialize!
All in all, it was a very successful event and we hope to continue our success over the coming years!

If any organisation would like to use our track (not free!) then please contact us at the main cubpack333@gmail.com address.While we expect requests to come mainly from other BSA organisations, we could entertain requests from charity & 'good deed' organisations too.
