From https://www.scouting.org/programs/cub-scouts/activities/pack-events/:
Blue and Gold Banquets are a tradition in Cub Scout packs. They are a celebration of the anniversary of the founding of the BSA on February 8, 1910, and therefore usually take the place of the February pack meeting. Often, badges of rank are awarded. The Arrow of Light ceremony may even be included as the 5th graders cross over to a troop. Sometimes community leaders or special guests are invited to attend. The meal can be a pot-luck dinner or other arrangements can be made – whatever suits your pack.
On March 26th 2019, Pack 333 celebrated their Blue & Gold Banquet. This was held at Evening Street school, with many Pack members providing a pot luck. (Thanks!)
During the event, our Webelos II crossed over to a troop of their choosing. A Boy Scout representative from each Troop were also in attendance to accept and greet the crossing over Webelos.
Also in attendance were two special guests who gave up their time to give a little speech about their role in Scouting:
Mary Rykowski. Evening Street Principle. Mary talked about the benefits of having Pack 333 associated with Evening Street, and how the program has grown over the past year.
Dave Foust. Eagle Scout, who also used to sit on the Worthington Council. Dave talked about how the values of Scouting transfer into the work place.
Only a few photos were taken of the event, which are below:
